Which has nothing to do with anything, just another MST3K quote.

Okay, I wrote! A little! Four paragraphs! GAH. Two were for the next Pendulum, which I'm stalled in partly because I'm having a hell of a time with the descriptions in a flashback. I did look up samurai clothing, but where I put the info? No idea. And the other is my next Zangeal smutty short, which Genesis has hijacked and made me start with him tormenting his therapist. Yes, to answer what you're all thinking. Amarissia does put psychiatrists in every story. I need them. I mean, the characters do.

In effort to prepare for Madness sequel (which Genesis also demands to start off), am replaying Dirge of Cerberus. It's fraying my nerves slightly less this time, which doesn't say much, especially since I now have to constantly check to see if I'm getting the memory capsules, and I think I already missed five or six, and GAH I suck at shooters. They make me go all scary-eyed and hiss at the TV. Which I did. Sephy, however, saw through my blatant attempt to Section 8 my way out of gameplay and would not take the controller, and is very twitchy on account of Valentine trying to nail his mother and all the Hojo sightings, etc. Zack refuses to play a game that has only guns, no swords, Genesis just had a manicure, and Cloud is too busy shrieking hellos at Vincent and searching for his new playmate from FFXIII. Um, found him yet, Mona?

Sooooo. Off to do some Japanese and wait for eBay seller to get back to me. I bought a laptop case, received binoculars. It'll be hell keeping them away from Genesis.

*hugs all*

Thursday, June 24th, 2010 06:55 pm (UTC)
I wonder, is it a coincidence that only this morning I was trying to explain the lengthy backstory about Vincent and Lucrecia to my mother?

Poor Sephy, all cut up about all the Hojo. Don't worry, he dies. That'll make you happy, yes?

Also, I'm free for ruling Denmark every day after the 30th. Call me.
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:30 pm (UTC)
Yike, trying to explain any aspect of FFVII makes me people all ????, right?

Sephy: *smile* "Indeed."
Zack: "No ruling for you. There'd be mpreg everywhere." *grumble*
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:38 pm (UTC)
My mum got sick of it when I said 'And that's when the game actually starts'. Then I tried explaining Ultimecia, but when you can't mention anything about Seifer and Squall being secret boyfriends then explaining FFVIII is just the teeniest boring.

Hmm, I've just remembered that when I went to the latest con I saw someone cosplaying Hojo with a sign that said 'Hojo needs hugs too'.

And Zack, I'm not that bad with the mpreg. I mean, yes, I will occasionally read and or write it, but unless I could physically modify the men of Denmark to be able to give birth, we'll be mpregless... until someone does make a man who was born a man able to give birth. When that happens, well, we'll see.
Friday, June 25th, 2010 03:36 am (UTC)
LOL, yeah, you kinda have to start with the events of Dirge of Cerberus-flashbacks, then backtrack to explain Jenova, then the Lifestream...and then you realize you're talking to thin air. :)

Well, without Squall and Seifer being secret boyfriends, the GAME would have been a little boring. :) And Laguna. I heart Laguna.

Zack: *relaxes* "Okay..."
Friday, June 25th, 2010 11:00 am (UTC)
It was very weird, because I started off describing the variety in Final Fantasy villains (I was playing Dissida) and then I got to Sephy and it just kind of exploded. My mum tuned out when I started trying to explain Crisis Core I think.

Oh yeah, the game would've been much worse. By the way, did you know that they've released FFIX on the PS Network now. That's something else I've got to play. Because of Kuja. Just Kuja.

*pets Zack*
Friday, June 25th, 2010 05:24 pm (UTC)
I generally get to Sephy and then just start squeeing. :)

FFIX? If you play, tell me about it. I don't think I know anything about that one; I wasn't positive it existed. :)
Saturday, June 26th, 2010 06:22 pm (UTC)
I find that once I get to Sephy and Genesis and Angeal then it gets very hard to rein in the comments such as 'and you wouldn't believe the sexual tension between those three... and Zack.'

If I do get around to playing IX then it will be because of Kuja. Kuja rocks. I like to think that Kuja and Sephy are BFFs in Dissidia and swap hair-care hints while bitching about the other villains and Cloud and Zidane being scared of them.

After all, you can't look that fabulous without wanting to flaunt it.
Sunday, June 27th, 2010 03:24 pm (UTC)
It is very hard to not talk about the Trio's sexual tension and their Puppy love-slave. :) I mean, you instinctively want to share the glory, right?

Zidane! I've heard of him! So he's from IX, huh? Is he the Cloud to Kuja's Sephy?
Sunday, June 27th, 2010 08:47 pm (UTC)
People who can't see the sexual tension between those four are obviously blind. That goes quadruple for Seifer and Squall because the game was basically about the sexual tension between those two.

But yes, I do find it hard not to share the glory. Very hard.

Well, Zidane isn't exactly the Cloud to Kuja's Sephy. For one thing they're sort of brothers. I say sort of because I never really got that bit. And he's a bit of a womaniser and very happy-go-lucky. But him and Kuja definitely have something going on between them. Beyond the brother thing anyway, and Kuja's inferiority complex.

Okay, that settles it, Square Enix can't make it's villains be anythin but clinically insane. I have one word for you: Kefka.
Monday, June 28th, 2010 04:01 pm (UTC)
Kefka! I've heard of him too! Okay, so he's the Sephy? :)

You say 'brothers', I think 'incest'. Fandom has corrupted me...

My mother once walked in and saw me and my sis playing FFVIII, and after a few minutes asked us if Squall and Seifer were together. We were like "HA! See, it's true!" :)
Monday, June 28th, 2010 04:09 pm (UTC)
Nah, Kefka's in a different game. I think it was six. He's an insane clown obsessed with magic girl Terra.

I'm always open to incest. ALWAYS. I got into fandom because of incest. Although, not too much of it in real life please, that'd be really really weird. But in out minds it's okay, yes? Besides, as far as we know Zidane and Kuja are both male (that's questionable for Kuja actually) so nothing can really come of it. Also, they hardly know each other. So it's perfectly possible.

Your mum is so totally awesome.
Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 03:44 am (UTC)
Oh, I vaguely remember Terra. I saw my sister play some of this one. Is that the one with Espers?

In games and anime, everything is okay, most especially incest and unequal relationships. :) Wait waaait, so Kuja is some sort of tranny? Excellent.
Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 10:10 am (UTC)
Yeah, I think that's the one with the Espers. Keep on meaning to actually play the damn thing.

Yup that's one of the best things about games and anime: anything goes.

Well, like I said, as far as we know Kuja is male. But he acts not male, except for that whole 'I like destroying things' thing. He is a genetically modified experiment, otherwise known as a genome and can turn into some weird monkey human furry hybrid thing. The best thing for you to do is go look at pictures. Try the Dissidia ones, they're better quality. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Kuja/Dissidia

There're pictures there. He has a tail. :)
Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 02:38 pm (UTC)
Aha...I can see why there's gender confusion.

Cloud: "He can turn into a monkey? Awesome! My friend Vinnie can turn into a bat!"
Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 05:08 pm (UTC)
But he talks like a man. I was listening to the voice thingies on Dissidia and one of them is him saying 'You think you can dominate me?' which makes me giggle. Sometimes they're really funny, those voice dowackies. For example, if you lose playing as Squall, sometimes he says 'I was defeated by boredom'.

Yay, I like bats. And Vincent. Vincent is very cool. He's one of my favourites.
Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 05:24 pm (UTC)
LOL...Dissidia sounds so interesting, except for all the fighting. I'm so not good at fighting...*tries to remember what platform it's on*

*snicker* Everything bores Squall.

Cloud: "Vinnie is awesome!" *bounce bounce* "But he doesn't like hugs. I think I scare him when I hug him."
Thursday, July 1st, 2010 01:36 pm (UTC)
Dissidia is awesome. It's for the PSP and while the learning curve can be pretty steep, you're usually better than your opponents. And even if you are losing, you can always leave, train up some more and then go back again.

Besides, you can play as Sephiroth. Heck, you can play as oops-I've-lost-my-coat!Sephiroth if you want to. And there's something called Command Mode which I haven't tried, but is meant to be for people who don't like the whole 'think on your feet, real time' thing.

Yup, his famous 'Gone talking to a wall' catchphrase is back. And Cloud seems to have caught some apathy, because he keeps on saying 'Not interested'. But Cloud's really sweet, cause he gets all shy sometimes and he keeps on going on about people reminding him about 'a person I once knew'.

And Sephiroth says 'Cloud' in that way that gives me shivers.

Let's all go hug Vincent. He needs some hugs after all those years spent in a coffin. Can't Zack make him used to hugs?
Friday, July 2nd, 2010 03:36 pm (UTC)
I've really gotta get a PSP. I need to play Crisis Core eventually anyway... :) Also, my favorite clerk at GameStop told me you can apparently play PS3 games on it if you know a certain trick. *shrug*

Topless Sephy? OMG. And awww, Cloud, pretending he's not interested. Yeah, the Dissidia clips I've seen were awesome. I think Nomura is slowly making Seph/Cloud canon.

Zack: *laughs* "You should see Vincent when we visit him. He's not used to Choir!Cloud yet, and when Cloud glomps him, he just freezes."

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010 02:12 pm (UTC)
Trust me, Crisis Core is one of the most brilliant games you will ever play.
Besides, you can also download FFVII and various other PS1 games to play on it. Imagine, the freedom to play FFVII wherever you want.

Nomura rocks like that. Oh, and when Sephy goes into super-awesome mode he gets his wing out and can fly around. And one of his attacks is Black Materia. 'Nuff said.

Aww, poor Vincent. He needed more hugs when he was younger. Just expose him to hugs lots, he should get used to it pretty quickly.
Sunday, July 4th, 2010 02:38 pm (UTC)
AGH! *is weakening* About how big a PSP?

Winged!Sephy!

Sephy: "I would have rather had two wings."

Yes, we know.

Cloud: *giggle* "Vinnie needs lots of hugs, yep, that's why I hug him. He just pats my head and waits for me to let go, but I'll make him like hugs, you'll see!" *bounce*
Sunday, July 4th, 2010 02:47 pm (UTC)
PSPs are handheld, so... not gigantic? The screen is quite large for a handheld, at least mine is, but they're always bringing out new versions. I think you can get the older ones cheaper and they can still play all the games, you just need to do software updates every once in a while.

You look good with one wing, Sephy, although it is a constant mystery as to why you don't just fly in circles with it.

With your help Cloud, Vincent will be used to hugging in no time.
Monday, July 5th, 2010 02:51 pm (UTC)
*resisting* Noooo, next system I upgrade to will be PS3, but... *twitches*

AGH! :)

Sephy: "I find it perplexing myself."
Cloud: *giggle, bounce*
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 07:05 pm (UTC)
Yeah! You're writing!

*pets your muse*

Zangeal smutty short which Genesis has hijacked? Is your muse talking to my muse right now? >.>

*eyes her own totally evilly kinky smut piece*

I have my problems with shooters, too, but more because my fingers aren't as fast anymore... *hates age* Just fast enough to type... ^___^;

Hojo dies, Hojo dies, Hojo dies - just keep saying that loud enough, he'll believe you.

You received binoculars instead of laptop case? :O Hope you can get it exchanged...

Rule Denmark? Been there, done that.
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:31 pm (UTC)
Was writing. Is now slumping. *points to latest entry* I hate documents. And keyboards, and formatting...things.

Me too, I have no need for binoculars. Or do I? Nah, all the bishies around here live in my closet anyway. :)
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:51 pm (UTC)
Maybe you should invest in a voice recognition program? :) Easier than keyboards. If my fingers ever *really* go on strike and refuse to type as fast as I need them to, I will be getting one of those programs.

Well, what about for Cloud? To watch birds, and butterflies, and squirrels and so?
Friday, June 25th, 2010 03:25 am (UTC)
:) Cloudy doesn't need that sort of thing, mako gives you perfect eyesight...better than perfect, apparently. Sometimes he tries on my glasses, but just to play. :)
Friday, June 25th, 2010 08:38 am (UTC)
Right! I keep forgetting that! :) That mako certainly does have advantages, doesn't it? :)
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 07:08 pm (UTC)
Go Amarissia! Yay for Zangeal oneshots, but OH-MY-GOSH-EPIC-WIN for the start on the Madness sequel! *jumps up and down while squeeing*
If you finish the game, you can just look at the list to see which capsules you missed, then go straight to that section without needing to replay the entire game, and there are some pretty good guides out there. Just try not to get sucked in to the training part, wher Vincent is in his Turk outfit. I know someone who won't play any other part of the game, which is a total waste of hotness.
Section 8? No idea what that means...
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 07:10 pm (UTC)
I would rule Denmark, but they might get sick of me yelling "BECOME ONE WITH RUSSIA!" and lynch me. Kolkolkol.
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:33 pm (UTC)
This time I skipped the training, which was maybe bad idea. :)

Section 8 is an old term for faking mental illness to get out of military duty.

Don't squee too much, it'll be a long long wait. :) But I already know the ending, ha ha! Well, knew it even before I finished the first story.
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 10:21 pm (UTC)
Oooooooh, play the tutorial. I've finished the game, and I still play it, just because Vincent makes such a sexy Turk.
Ah, that explains it.
I can wait. I won't like waiting, and I will bug you at frequent intervals, but eventually, I SHALL HAVE SEQUEL!!! And as for you knowing the ending... You are evil. Pure evil. For now, I shall cling to my hopes that it involves use of Pheonix Down and smut.
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 07:19 pm (UTC)
A sequel to Madness? Yay! That's the best news I've heard today. Can't wait to read it. ~_^.
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:33 pm (UTC)
I hope you can wait, it'll be a long time. But thanks. :)
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 07:51 pm (UTC)
*drags Hope from under couch* Here he is.

Hope: "THAT MOVIE WAS SO CREEPY!!!! What are you - don't put it on AGAIN!"

Hehehehe. Apparently, he did not enjoy Acacia nearly as much as I did. Bother. All I have to say to that movie is OH MY GOD. Seriously amazing. Cinematography.........I have nothing left to say.

Hope: "Hey, I like that blond guy. Not YOU, Snow!"

*pushes him off to play with Cloud* There ya go, babycakes.

Urrrgh besides Bioshock, I hate shooters. Hence the reason I do not have an Xbox. Go PS3!!!

Um...binoculars?
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:36 pm (UTC)
Aw, poor baby, got scared off by K-horror. *pets*

Cloud: "I found yooooou!" *hugs Hope* "C'mon, Amarissia's making us sundaes!" *tugs*

He likes blond guy? What blond guy? Is he a lot older? Sheesh, I'm a perv. :)

I KNOW, isn't Acacia genius? I've been looking for the soundtrack forever, the music at the end, the whole ending, is so gorgeous. DID YOU LUV IT?????!

I know what you're thinking, and I'm thinking the same. Genesis is messing with my orders to buy peeping equipment.
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:02 pm (UTC)
I wish I had Dirge of Cerberus... but I dont have the console for it. XD I've wanted to play it even though I, too, suck at shooters.

Sage: "Manicure! UH! I'm jealouss." -looks at hands in disgusts- "Aiden wont give me money."

XD Cloud shrieking hellos at Vincent? Makes me laugh. Hearts you Cloudy!
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:37 pm (UTC)
Genesis: *bounces* "Ooooooh, let meeeee paint your nails!"
Angeal: "He gets girly like this sometimes." *laughs*
Cloud: *hugs Kirby*
Thursday, June 24th, 2010 08:44 pm (UTC)
XD Girly Genesis. I never thought of him being one to get his nails done. Hehe.

Sage: -claps- "Great idea, my love!"

-hugs!-
Friday, June 25th, 2010 03:31 am (UTC)
Genesis: "What color, my dear? I was thinking a nice regal purple..."
Friday, June 25th, 2010 08:26 am (UTC)
Sage: "You know me all to well." -lightly kisses-
Friday, June 25th, 2010 12:06 am (UTC)
Yay, writing. <3 It's funny how I get so excited to see "Zangeal" now and I didn't ship it at all like three weeks ago. -taps brain- Some of the wiring must be disconnected in there.

Dirge of Cerberus is hard for me. I've started it about six times and then given up, because I'm pretty good at shooting games but only when firing an actual gun. -sigh- I laughed at Genesis and his manicure. Sorry they're being unhelpful over there, and good luck!

And huh, that's an interesting eBay swap. Make sure Genesis doesn't get his paws on those; there'll be hell to pay.

-hugs back-
Friday, June 25th, 2010 03:56 am (UTC)
Ooh, writing again! Good for you! :)

Vincent: "I wasn't trying to-"

Oh, hush, you know you were so trying to nail her.
Friday, June 25th, 2010 05:57 pm (UTC)
VINNIE! *wails* Rosso the Crimson just kicked my butt. I mean, your butt. Our collective butt. I have failed you. I am unworthy to bask in your awesome emo-ness. *slump*
Friday, June 25th, 2010 11:11 pm (UTC)
Sweet!

Yay! More appropriately written MoB on the way! Descriptions are kind of my forte (I have problems with NOT doing descriptions...), so feel free to commandeer my brain or Avery's to help. Shoot me an e-mail if you like.

Gen is so pushy. But it works for him.

I actually massively enjoy shooters. >.> I'm, um, a boy at heart, Lol.

Lol Cloudypie, I love you.

Laptop case= binoculars... ftw? Alrighty, good luck with that. A typo/techincal error somewhere I would guess?
Saturday, June 26th, 2010 02:46 am (UTC)
Do you and Avery know anything about samurai attire? If not, you can still help. I've reached an annoyingly hard part of Dirge of Cerberus, and AGH I want it to be over. *dangles controller enticingly*

Cloud: "We're playing Vincent! And I saw me! Canon Me! And Seph! And Tifa and Cid and Barret and Yuffie and Reeve and Cait Sith!"

Sent back the binoculars before Gen could go peeping with them, fingers crossed that an actual laptop case comes. :)
Saturday, June 26th, 2010 04:41 am (UTC)
I actually know quite a bit about it, but during what time and from what area? There were a few variations to the typical style done. Are you talking daily attire, full armor outfitting, dress clothes? Or maybe you just wanna know what you can put and be mostly correct Lol (I've so done that, there's no shame in it). It gets complicated. As I'm thinking about it, I've forgotten some of the names for different pieces... I could probably find stills from MoB to see what exactly the depict as 'samurai attire'. Anything to encourage the writing ^_^
DoC? Not a huge expert there. Haven't played it in a while >.> But I do have it...

Mercy: *squeezes Cloudypie*

*crosses fingers*
Saturday, June 26th, 2010 06:01 pm (UTC)
16th century, Sengoku era. I just feel like it would be lazy and possibly inaccurate to put everyone in kimonos. What would noble men of the samurai class wear casually?

I was half-joking earlier, but you really know about this stuff, awesome. :)
Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 12:45 pm (UTC)
Ebay shiny stuff makes me happy ♥
I just like getting mail, mainly. *coughs awkwardly*

I hope you're not stressing too much about writing or anything, although your ideas do sound wonderful. Genesis in general makes me squee. :P

I gotta thank you, too, for telling me not to stress too much about mine. I listened to you, and it helped a heck of a lot. Even got me writing a little more. :)

Much appreciated.
♥ spop
Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 04:55 pm (UTC)
*grin, hug*

Nah, not stressing too much. It'll come out when it's ready to. :)
