Nothing important, really. All is wonderfully quiet, because Militant Vegan Sister and mom have gone to a Paul McCartney concert. M.V. Sister apparently plans to call me so I can listen in a bit, but I hate phones, so I'm not looking forward to it. But I'm willing to indulge her excitement.

In other news, my Aunt Flo(w) has not arrived yet (and may never again, who knows), but she thoughtfully sent her sisters Cramps and Emotional Disturbance ahead. Nice. The only plus here is that this time is usually productive for me creatively. The bad news is that I really, REALLY want to go ahead and start the Madness sequel.

Zack: "That is bad."
Genesis: "It is not! I get to be in it!"

It's bad because of the pressure involved. I need to do way more brainstorming and access the part of my brain that the original Madness came from 'cause hell if I know how it happened, and speaking of pressure, look what I happened across?

This does not at all render me terrified to disappoint, why do you ask?

Either way, it'll still be a long wait, so no pre-emptive squeeing, 'kay? :)

Heh. I've trolled through that site before; sometimes they're a bit mean-spirited, but overall they try to be objective about fanworks, which cracks me up because it's like... I don't know... a documentary on the abnormal? Trying to make sense of something that doesn't have to make sense. lol I know I'm in there too, but it's a bot-related entry and it isn't even close to being up-to-date because most of those entries are deleted now anyway and it doesn't even mention that I write for Kingdom Hearts.

Well, aside from whatever co-writes I have planned for Seph/Cloud with grownupneko... and the fact that KKM has now smacked me over the head with a bunch of pairings... more or less, yes. But what does fandom know? Which actually brings me to a fit of amazement, because now that I've got a house all to myself out in the middle of nowhere for two weeks, I'm actually making progress on a story I've had sitting on my hardrive going nowhere for over a year. And it's AkuRoku, which I... like... never write. And rarely read. Go figure.

Ha! Well, Axel's all for that. As long as you don't request a maid's uniform, he's up for nearly anything; he feels that maid costumes are overdone, but I've been trying to get him into one for a couple of years now and if the opportunity arises, it'll happen, damnit...

Not to mention the fact that Gunther? Yeah... he's my sister. Dead on. Like, I was watching KKM and my jaw dropped to floor. "Holy fuck... it's Audrey!" From the worrying about everyone's creature comforts to the fangirlisms to being a hidden badass. That part where Gunther's modeling and he misunderstands when the photographer asks him to attack him? Yep. Audrey. Not only that, she read two frames of Gunther in the manga and decided, yes, she absolutely needed to cosplay this character. Which in itself is amazing because Audrey generally despises cosplay... Oh and Jason is Gwendal. And... well... I'm sort of... Anissina. Also, did you know that Gwendal and Anissina are actually partners in real life? That is, Marina Anissina and Gwendal Peizerat were 2002 Olympics skating champions.

I'm not surprised at all! Never seen such an obvious and well-deserved entry before (*thinks about posting something like this on TV Tropes. Is it possible? Need to find out...*).

Oh, writing pressure. That sounds a lot like me... (with my last chapter, I spent three days just reading - and minorly editing - it before I decided to post; still not satisfied, of course).
Do you sometimes look at something you wrote a while ago and wonder where the hell it came from? And right next, you start thinking that your current project (or chapter) can't compare to this at all.

For me personally, it's often also hard to look at other people's writing, to know that I will never be able to reach the same degree of perfection and the same flawless flow of words... (Yes, this includes ESPECIALLY your writing. *sigh*)

It might not help with the pressure you're feeling, but let me repeat one thing: I'm sure you can pretty much write anything, and people would love to read it, just because your way of story-telling is so unique and simply great. This is how I feel, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
