Happily, it doesn't seem to bother my internet-dorking, it just gets occasionally pissy with some of my programs. *magically re-installs Adobe reader, hopes that will appease it*
You too? My machine's been buggy ever since I tried Google Chrome. Got rid of Chrome but the problem stayed, even if it got less frequent. I'm not sure if it actually was Chrome that was buggy or just a coincidence.
Did you just run windows update and install a new driver for something? I had the same problem, and techy brother in law figured it out...I've got a fairly quirky machine, as far as chipset and cards. The video card and most other stuff are Nvidia, so windows update assumed that my sound card was also Nvidia and downloaded the wrong driver. It wasn't, and caused a conflict that had the comp shutting itself down to protect itself.
(By the way, the second to next chapter of my fan fiction - I've written it along with my current one, because what was supposed to be one chapter got far too long - has a reference to a certain couple from the Arthurian legends in it... it hints on a certain scene with a sword - not Excalibur though ;)
Well, over here, it's hard to forget that day, due to the fact that it's also Swiss National Day.
That's a love we both share... Oh really? To me personally, those are epic stories (on the same level as Homer's works) telling so much about the very essence of human emotions and motivations, so I often feel reminded of those tales when I write. Usually, it's very subtle though; but in my fan fiction story, I have a running theme of 'childhood memories' and some of them are connected to stories and story telling (in an upcoming part of the story, Gen will even re-tell a fairy tale they were fond of as children, and completely fail to see that it references their current situation. Do you happen to know a story called "The Blue Rose"? Or have I showed it to you before? If not, tell me and I'll sent it to you...).
This specific reference in the second-to-next chapter is supposed to have a comedy undertone, still it also hints on something much more serious.
Currently, I'm still trying to get my next chapter in a half-way decent shape (I really want to upload it tomorrow), and then I need about a week or so for the 'sequel'. I'll let you know when it's up (I don't want to tell you any scene-details yet, it would spoil the fun).
Awww, thank you soo much. I love stories with several layers, so I try to add some to my own writing, too (the stress is on 'try' though. I often think my 'added depth' is not as epic as the things other authors come up with...).

I was pondering trying Chrome again, but nah. I'm too used to the angst that is internet explorer.

I think deviant art gave me viruses and ever since I have to scan my computer a lot for cookies and stuff. -sigh-
Why can't these machines just act the way they are supposed tooooooo?! Lol.

I cheer for you, mighty slayer of the malicious Blue Screen of Death! Victory shall be yours. :)
On another note (I know I'm one day early, but I'm sure I'll forget tomorrow): Blessed patron-god-day (aka Lughnasadh)!

Verily, I shall smite the blue screen and drink wine out of its skull.

*luvs all things Arthurian, as I've mentioned before* Even my non-fanfic book gets Arthurian toward the end.

I love how much thought you put into your writing, always... :)
