The above is my random, Douglas-Adams style way of telling you that I won't be around as much the next few days, as I'm switching internet providers and I dunno how long it'll take. I do know I've had it with Sprint and their magically-disappearing usage bar, and also that something like "Do not panic" would have been more appropriate.

Also, after years of anxious holding back, Amarissia is going back to school starting this month. I found a nice accredited online school that will let me learn medical transcription, which I can then do while hiding from people and funnel the profits into studying what I really want to do, once I decide what that is. Long story short, won't be around quite as much. But you'll never get rid of me, nyah!

Sleepy now. Sleep now, watch more Bleach tomorrow. Yes. Sounds like a plan-thingy.

*hugs all*

I hate when internet desides to be a drama queen. We get problems with ours all the time too.

Congrats on the school thing! Thats really awesome, and online school rocks. I tried it but had to drop out due to money but it was really nice to be able to do stuff away from dumb people and in the comfort of your own home. XD

Once I get a job I wont be around much either but that hasn't happened yet. XD I want to go back to school too but I dont think that will happen for like a year or more. Congrats again! -hugs-

Cloud: *dances in confetti*

Thank you. :)

Internet is evil. Hopefully new internet will be far less evil...
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 02:37 am (UTC)
Hehe. Yeah hopefully it will work better... internet decides to be evil a lot.
Friday, July 16th, 2010 07:30 am (UTC)
Ooooh, medical transcription sounds interesting, and doing an online course should make that easier. Good luck!
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:05 am (UTC)
:) Thank you.
Friday, July 16th, 2010 08:10 am (UTC)
You can do that sort of thing online? O.O I'm amazed! Maybe I should start looking around for stuff I could learn online... *ponders*

Good luck with the provider change. I had that when I moved, and it was *such* a hassle! But now it's working - not well, but it's there... :)

Well, let me know when you figure out what you want to do. Might help me figure out mine. ;)

*HUG*
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:07 am (UTC)
Yep, totally online, even the professor's lectures. :)

Thank you! When I was young (about 16 or so) and still thought conventional college might be an option for me, my insane plan was to triple-major in osychology, archaeology and parapsychology. Maybe I can find a way to combine those. Hello, I'm here to excavate your burial site, find your ghosts and counsel them. :)
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 11:59 am (UTC)
Very cool! I never thought about doing schooling online.

Though, that's not quite true. I *have* looked into German online universities - but all they offer are business courses. And that's not really what I'm interested in. :)

*gg* Sounds like a great combination! I always wanted to do archaeology. *sigh* Maybe when I'm retired. ;)

*de-lurk*

Why do adults ask kids what they want to do when they gro up?

To get ideas for themselves, of course!

Good luck with going back to school. ^_^

Also, here's (http://images.4chan.org/w/src/1279047258104.jpg) a highly amusing Bleach picture. =D

*re-lurk*
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:09 am (UTC)
Pic's not coming up, but I appreciate the good wishes, thank you! And I much enjoy lurking myself, so I hope you do as well.
Friday, July 16th, 2010 11:10 am (UTC)
Awesome! Good luck with the service switching, but the school thing in particular, awesome! I wonder, what are the odds that me and everyone I know online who's doing something medical related might eventually converge in the same institution. We'd call it 'Fandom Hospital' and devote ourselves to the patching up of characters' bodies and relationships. ;p
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:11 am (UTC)
I just hope I don't get kidnapped by Turks and forced to do their most boring computer work. Talking to you, Reno.

Ah, that's right, you're a Medical Ninja, a rare breed. You can nail people with throwing stars and then remove them, right?

Cloud: "Really? OOOOOH. If my kitty ever gets sick, can you take care of him?" *tug tug*
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 06:02 pm (UTC)
Hmm, nail people, probably. I do know all the good places to hit. ;p The patching up part after I'm only about to start learning this year.

If kitty doesn't have anything more serious than cuts and scrapes and intestinal parasites, Cloud, I can handle that, but I know a lot of people who can do everything else. It's great having the vet school next door to mine. :D
Friday, July 16th, 2010 01:12 pm (UTC)
Your online school plan sounds like a fantastic idea and I hope it proves to be a success! Switching ISP's took less than 24 hours for me, hopefully it will be that easy for you too.

Will be posting my next chapter on saturday or sunday. I know you're looking forward to that, so I thought I'd give you a heads up. ;3
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:12 am (UTC)
Thank you! The guy is coming Thursday, let's just hope I'm not in withdrawal or something by then and end up answering the door with my best crazy look on.

NEW CHAPTER! Okay, now I have something to look forward to, thank you. :)
Friday, July 16th, 2010 01:21 pm (UTC)
boo bad internet connections! I went through that a lot until we switched providers. I don't remember which we have now though...

But anyways, my mom's a medical transcriptionist actually. It's a pretty good job and you can make some good money (unless you have 3 kids, one being an 8 year old, and 3 dogs running around the house lol). If you'd like, I can get my mom to ask her boss if she needs help after you've finished the classes :)

(BTW, this in ninja.of.love from ff.net, i don't know if you remember, but hi again :D )
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:14 am (UTC)
Hi! *waves*

Cloud: "Wanna hold my kitty? He's soft."

Thank you, that's excellent encouragement. I shall keep it in mind!

Oh gods, I remember the days of dial-up AOL. What a nightmare...but that was back when the internet was new and shiny...and evil...
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 04:44 am (UTC)
:D *holds Cloud instead*

Koda: Umm...I think he was referring to the little ball of fur...

Let me enjoy the cuddling! He's an OC ignore him.... :P

Ugh dial-up D: I thought my mom was going to kill somebody whenever she had to use the internet...
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 05:07 pm (UTC)
Cloud: *giggle, hug* "Squeeze me!"

He likes to be held tightly. He's used to hugs from SOLDIERs, after all. :)
Monday, July 19th, 2010 12:20 am (UTC)
YAY :D *squeezes super tight*

Koda: Oh God, now she's not going let go....

Oh shut up and go stare at my pictures of Genesis.

Koda: :D
Friday, July 16th, 2010 03:46 pm (UTC)
That... sounds like a fantastic idea, actually. The transcription thing, that is. I thought about doing something like that awhile ago but dial-up sort of hampers any online schooling I consider. Damnit. That and finances in general. *sighs*
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:15 am (UTC)
*hug* If it helps, I'm only gonna be paying $60 a month for this.
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 05:03 pm (UTC)
Yep. For the rest of my life, possibly, but aside from a deposit that varies, direct loans and grants handle the rest. If you're interested, the place I'm doing this is called Kaplan University.
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 05:19 pm (UTC)
I just may look into this because... goddamn, I have enough real-life friends as it is and preparing for them is exhausting. This way I can do things I want to do (I love school... and I just got a cup of coffee whee!) and not have to go through the anxiety of doing them alongside other people.
Monday, July 19th, 2010 03:15 pm (UTC)
It's pretty cool, seems to let you go a lot at your own pace. ANd best of all, no face-to-face contact. YAY! I'll let you know more once I actually start, at the end of the month.

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 07:42 pm (UTC)
Wait a minute, Kaplan Uni? LOL, like the one from commercials? A name a know, nice! :D
Friday, July 16th, 2010 04:28 pm (UTC)
Good luck with the ISP switch. When we swiched from Comcast to Verizon it was pretty painless.

Wish we'd had online classes when I was in school. (/oldepharte) DH is finishing up his MBA online and for the most part thought it wasn't too bad. The medical support fields are hot now too... unlike, say, library science. *looks at neglected Captain Librarian costume in the corner*
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:18 am (UTC)
Cloud: "Costume!"

Better keep him away from it.

Yeah, it's the same kind of thing we had before we moved, I think, and that was fairly easy, except for the guy having to crawl under the floor and rewire things, and I better not think about it... :)

I worship all people involved with libraries. I would so go into that if it didn't involve people asking for help and distracting me from lovely books.

Do you know kids can do high school entirely online now?! Do you know how much less damaged I would have been if that had been around for me? GAH, kids today, they get all the breaks...
Friday, July 16th, 2010 05:19 pm (UTC)
Bad internet connections suck == I'm stuck with mine for a whole year... then I can change.
Good luck with the school thing! And I hope you find what you really want to do soon :) Till then, I guess we're all in the same boat ^_^'' Hehe.
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:18 am (UTC)
Thank you! Good to know I'm not the only one. :)
Saturday, July 17th, 2010 05:38 am (UTC)
BLEHHHHHHHHH to useless unreliable internet.

But on another note, yay! Congrats on school! That's so exciting. :D I'll be in the same or similar boat soon, oh God someone help me. FUCK college essays. And me attempting to face the fact that I'll be living as a starving artist sooner than I thought.

SQUEE!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!!!! :D :D :D *massive hugs*
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 01:19 am (UTC)
*grin* But you're young and energetic, I'm old and need frequent naps. :)

I used to rock essays...if I can reboot that part of my brain, I will trade them for yaoi.

*HUGS* You kinda helped inspire me, ya know. *blushes*
Sunday, July 18th, 2010 06:12 am (UTC)
Ahhh, you're gonna make me cry if you tell me that!!! *cuddlesqueeze*

I might actually take you up on that bribe. I'll certainly need a helping hand, once I get the prompts. Even if not, you'll get your pr0n from me anyway, tchee. :]

I am laaaaaazzzyyyyyyyyy!!!! Laziest human being to ever disgrace the planet, sitting right here. Riiiiight here. :D
Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 07:29 pm (UTC)
I really don't find Sprint all that reliable. I've only used Verizon and T-Mobile but something about Sprint made me all wiggly inside.

Good luck with online school!! :) There's actually some really good online schools and I'm glad that you found a way to do what you've wanted, without dealing with the dramas of school life. *rolls eyes* School is nothing but a prelude to real life, blegh! :P

And BLEACH! :D How far along are you on it now? Hope you skipped the Bount arc! And hope you got to the good bits, such as the Arrancars.... *hint, hint*

*hugs back and gives lollipops*
Saturday, July 24th, 2010 09:02 pm (UTC)
Thank you! Gah, I'm telling you, this real-life thing sucks. I really want to crawl back into my escapism...but I shall perservere.

I'm still in the Rescue arc, I believe, I think Bount is next. Are you sure I should skip it? I won't be missing anything?

*hugs* Oooh, lolipops...
Sunday, July 25th, 2010 03:21 am (UTC)
Real-life really does suck! >:( Too many people here and there twittering. *huffs*

Bount Arc.....it wasn't BAD per say but it just added in 50 chapters of noncanon people and shite and it just made me twitch. The only person you'll be missing really is Nova, a non-manga-canon character who is a mod-soul like Kon that Urahara made. He's adorably shy and a cute redhead. Other than that, NOTHING! But if you're not gonna read the manga, then yu can try it......But it's so taxing!!!! *moans* Made me get off the Bkeach-anime bandwagon...
Sunday, July 25th, 2010 12:40 pm (UTC)
Okay, I'll skip. Maybe I'll go back to it eventually, but yeah, as long as we won't be missing OneFive and Captain Chibi. :)
Sunday, July 25th, 2010 09:36 pm (UTC)
LOL, you're not missing much. Tou-chan makes an appearance for the Arrancar arcs! ^^ You get to see him in civilian clothes! <3

And Ichi-chan is always there, frowning and being the closet uke he is! ^^ I love Ichi-chan, he's good with everyone, even the bad guys! :)
