Well, that's not precisely what it happened, but I imagine it feels much the same. Last night, just after I told you all about plushie-Cloud and was feeling all happy, my building's fire alarm went off. Turns out some moron was cooking steak and let it burn, badly, then decided to mysteriously not be home to answer his door, which no one would simply kick in as I suggested (and offered to myself). All is fine, but the alarm is very, very loud. You really don't, as a rule, want to mix autism with loud noise that one can't control. My sister kept me calm, sort of, otherwise I might have just curled into a ball and hummed the whole time.
Then today, YAY, Amarissia gets new glasses prescription she needs (my eyes are healthy, my vision just sucks, so I'll have the new specs in 10-14 days) but evil eye doctor (who was otherwise charming) decided he wanted to come at me with those drops that dilate your pupils. Because yes. Amarissia is not already sensitive enough to bright light, let's make it worse on a sunny day. My dad had to help me back to the car and ack, I still have a headache. But my eyes are black! Awesome! They're going back to green, though.
All in all, too much sensory overload in too little time has left me jittery, so probably won't be able to write. Will probably be flustered over formatting and margins for a while anyway. Don't worry, the muses will stop being lazy eventually.
Zack: "It's not laziness so much as self-preservation."
And I'm not so blocked I can't drabble a certain someone getting a Buster Sword up his you-know-what, so that's enough out of you, darling.
Zack: *hides behind Angeal*
Teasing Zack always makes me feel better. Maybe when Gen has finished his marathon sex session with his boytoy we can actually work on the aforementioned story...
*hugs all*
Ooh, and sister just brought me sweet tea. Yum.

And what kind of glasses did you get? I got my new ones two weeks ago (thick Angela Aki ones in brown) and am still getting used to them.
no subject
They're hard to describe...thin-framed, silvery but sort of colorless ones, at least that's what I was aiming for, something unnoticeable. Of course, I couldn't see, so I have no idea how they look, but I'm told they're me. :)
Yay, we both wear glasses! *high-five* I personally think they're way cooler than contacts.

Megane-types are the awesome, right? :)

And I always wanted either green or light amber colored eyes. Since my mom is of European decent, she has the prettiest grey-teal eyes!

I pine for blue eyes! All my sisters and my mom have them, soooo unfair. Although I'd take amber-colored eyes, sure. Would help me remember my real name. :)

Well, if you ignore the burning steak accident they seem like a bunch of good neighbours :) Mine are all college students that are either drunk or play guitar hero at inappropriate hours D8 I had really nice ones living right beside me, but they're moving out this year...

*smacks myself at other people's stupidity*
A fire alarm that loud? Gyagh! Fire alarms are just plain annoying, no matter how helpful. Auistic senses? *winces* Ouch. How do you perceive sound? You must be pretty sensitive though, with the reaction you got.....that just sucks.
Hope you feel better soon amarissia!
And Gen! A sex marathon and no video camera? (Even with the puppy's aversion to them, can't you sneak in one?) *pouts* I want details! And tell me about your new pretty one, 'kay?

No one else seemed to think it was that loud, but certain noises just agitate me like crazy. Autistic thing, apparently. I can handle loudness if I'm controlling it, like music. Otherwise I feel it much more than most people seem to. It's like knives going through my head.
*hug* Genesis is still going, unbelievably, so I think he'll excuse my answering for him. The boyfriend is a muse of our friend Emokirby's, a young man named Sage who looks slightly like Zack but with purple hair and a very wicked smile. He's a lot like Genesis, and every bit the sex addict.

...Awful looks weird when you smash it together like that.

Also, might I add that I'm thrilled that someone besides Casey and myself prefers glasses to contacts? Jer wears the latter, but he needs the kind that you only need to clean, like, once a year because he never takes them off. I refuse to stick things in my eyes, and knowing that a lens is there, ready to slip inside... no. No A thousand times, no. I'd spend every second lifting my hand up toward my face and lowering it back down. Repeating. Shaking my head. Blinking. I wouldn't be able to function. Not that I don't already have a hard enough time now. Geh. I was in the pharmacy today and a guy decided I was sociable and I couldn't make eye contact. I hate eye contact. I also hate that I know most people are offended or at least put off when you don't make eye contact, because then when I try I apparently do it too much and I freak them out or something. I can't win. *sighs and throws up hands*
Hey, Genesis, can you write about your, you know, adventures? Interested parties are... interested. Unless you'd rather not kiss (and lick, and bite, and tie, and spank, and... uh... oh god) and tell.
no subject
I KNOW, I'd be scared constantly that the lens would slip and cut up my cornea or something. ACK.
Genesis is still...uh...unavailable...but I'm sure he'll fill us all in when he returns. He does love to kiss and tell. :)

Zack: *hides behind Angeal*"
This may have single-handedly made my night, no lie.
Also, who's Gen's boytoy? :p

Oh, yes, Sage. I'll get Emokirby (he's her muse) to write up a good description of him for you guys...

I don't think I suffer from any anxiety disorders but I did have this very vivid dream once which I try not to remember but it left me with a ridiculous fear of alarm sounds. Have you seen the movie The Mist? I love that movie but I always skip that part with the alarms because I always end up crying and shivering and just being a complete mess. A friend of mine lives near a prison (don't ask) and I once stayed over and they had that same alarm sound at 4am in the morning. Let's just say I had a mini break down :/
I like the retro eyeglass frames, I think they look cool. I think I'll be getting those when my vision get worse.
Please tell Genesis viagra is not good at his age.

I'm so glad at least some people still like glasses. It seems like most people are all about contacts. Ick, I'd never stick something in my eye like that, I freak out when I get an eyelash in there.
Genesis would be quite indignant at the thought of him needing Viagra. :)

But no one can go for that long without needing a little something. Only Sting! ha!

Also... glasses rock! I have a nice pair (they say I have eyes like my mom and sometimes I think she is blind) but they got scratched up and I can't afford to get new ones so I've been going without. I can't see far away very well... it sucks when I'm trying to find street signs. XD
XD I'll try to get a description of the muses up by Friday... I just won't promise it will be good. My writing skills can easily be compared to a cats. XP I have poor spelling and stuff... really really poor but I'll get SOMETHING to you. =)
Hope you feel better soon! -hugs-

Oh, you're light sesitive too? I remember when my eyes first started doing that, I spent a week in a dark room. The optician made me take this test where I had to press a button every time I saw a light on this screen and they were pretty amazed when I got all of them.
Eye drops suck. I have known this since I was three and led my parents on a merry chase trying to escape from them and the evil eye drops.
*wants to read that drabble*

I hate that test, it makes me so anxious. Not as bad as the glaucoma test, though, ACK.
:) It'll be longer than a drabble, I can never keep things short. I'll keep working on it!
*hug*

Poor you! I hate loud noises as well, unless it's me blaring my music, which is ok for some odd reason. I bought a pair of those headphones which are designed to block noise, and just listen to the Kuroshitsuji musical or something else distracting. Have you seen the Kuroshitsuji musical?

I hate alarms, be it car alarms that go off in the middle of the night (for some months, something was wrong with a neighbour's car and that happened every third or forth night) or the authorities testing the official alarm (it sounds like the air strike alarm in the second World War, and it always makes me feel uneasy).
That story reminds me of a collegue from the cinema (a similar moron, obviously) who put about 50 bread rolls into the oven and then forgot about it. They burned (or turned to coal, more precisely), and started the fire alarm (the problem is, when there is such an alarm in a cinema, the fire brigade will come - you only have a few minutes to find out whether it is a false alarm and stop it; usually, that amount of time is too short to do anything - and if it's a false alarm, the cinema company has to pay...).
I hate bright light, too. It can make my eyes water, or give me headaches.
Hope you are feeling better by now!
*obligatory bunch of hugs*

Wish I could give you a hug right now. Hope's prodding at where the portal was, trying to get to all of you.
Haha, fellow green eyes!!!! Ewww I hate those drops. One of my friends asked why my pupils were so massive, and I said, "Oh, I'm just super horny right now, pay me no heed." Certainly shut him up. :D Not that you, uh, really needed to know that.......XDDDD

*HUGSES*
Cloud: "Don't worry, I'll make the portal stay open. YAY!" *hugs Hope* "HI!"
*dies laughing* I wish I could have been there for that.
