Just Dropping In...

...long enough to tell you, my dears, the latest in Amarissia's Epic-Laptop-Fail drama. The Weapon of Mass Distraction is in the shop, and I've been pacing around like a worried parent. Hopefully, my precious will be back with me in another day or so, and hopefully with all my files and vids and randomness intact.

While dealing with this withdrawal, Amarissia has finished writing half of the new Decorum (another two-parter, damn you Exposition Tourette's), so that's progress, and since the white sky has had it on my mind anyway, I played Silent Hill for the second time ever and the first by myself. Without memory card, because the game doesn't get along with my newer PS2. Yeah, never doing that again.

Gah, I miss you all, and though the Choir have been enjoying having more time off, I suspect they do too. Fingers crossed for a quick and triumphant return! *hugs all*

I hope your suffering ends soon – and that when the Laptop of Holiness returns, it does so with all files etc. I'd CRY like a BABY if I lost all of my stuff... So here's hope and luck and crossed fingers for you *tosses them at you...though maybe not the crossed fingers XD*

I've lost all my files once... no, wait. *counts fingers* Ok, 4 times. It seriously sucks! Thanks to those traumatizing experiences, I finally learned how to do backups ==''' And always save my school works on a drive pen, just in case >>''

Oh, new Decorum! I agree, Windows is a pain, but no other OS will let me play FFVII on my pc, and copies for the playstation are impossible to find... Oh well, good luck with your files!

I hope you get everything back. My desktop broke down a long time ago and it had a major story on it that I, like and idiot, didn't have backed up. It broke down and my parents and I were to poor to get the hard drive fished through and the desktop was gone so I lost it... one reason why I don't write much anymore.

I really hope you get everything back, all of your stuff is so interesting. XD I'm glad the Choir is enjoying some time off. Come back soon! -hugs-

Hey, does your laptop run WinXP? There was some nerd rage on a board that I read about how Microsoft boned a recent update for it. Causes reboot loops, but luckily the solution is to just delete the buggy update. If that's all it was your WMD should be back home soon; no one was reporting file loss other than through doing a system restore.

I'll return Cloud and Ryu-chan as soon as I can find them again. They keep disappearing in the snow piles around my place. I'm keeping an eye out for any unusually spiky-haired drifts.

Uh-huh, XP, reboot loop, nightmare. Thank Gaia I didn't lose anything...I turned off automatic updating the very first thing when I got it back. :)

You hear that, Sephy? You can call off the choppers. Cloudy gleefully dashed out some time ago and all we've gotten since is a phone call that was mostly excited squealing in the background. Erm, you might want to warn your neighbors that a man in a black coat may be coming by, and he is armed and not to be impeded in any way.

Since I've had several crashes, I've learned to do regular backups. Now I have two external drives, both with complete backups on them.

Give my hugs to the Choir, too. And don't let them get out of hand... at least, not *too* much... while you're worrying.
