Amarissia Babbles, The Choir Memes, and Then We'll Have A Fic Update...

I'm still getting used to going out and interacting with people, and yesterday I was all over the place, so *head still spinning a bit*. One of the members of my church (where I am the Pagan mascot, nya nya) got me interested in maybe volunteering a bit at the nearby hospital for veterans. Sunday was supposed to be my first day; I was gonna attend the non-denominational service there, talk to some people, see how I like it. Oh noooooo. Instead I got completely lost and blundered into the Catholic service instead, which was so not the awesome. I didn't know if leaving in the middle of it would be a faux pas of some sort, so I tried to stick it out, I did. But then they started praying for a return to "traditional values" and "an end to abortion", and I feared an anti-gay tirade was next, so rather than bury them where I buried Dr. So-Called Laura, I ran.

Just before I left, a woman from the service very sweetly said she hoped their awful singing hadn't scared me off. I thought of saying, "No, it's just that Obama's picking me up for my abortion", but I guess RealLife!Me just isn't capable of that level of snark yet. I'll get there.

On a brighter note, after church service I was sitting with some people I don't know well yet, and closer to my age than the others, which is a bit of an anxious thing for me. I've never done well around people of my own age group. One young woman mentioned that she loved anime, another agreed, so she started listing her favorite ones. Among them...Gravitation. !!! I blurted out, "Omigod, I love Gravitation!" You'd think they'd just met a long-lost sister. "So, you're into yaoi?" It was the first time someone has said that word to me rather than typed it. Weird to find such kindred spirits in a church, but hey. The gods are raging loons, I've always said.

We got inside, but someone opened the door, and to cover what he was really there for, Gen stuck his tongue down my throat and his hand in my pants. I think that maintenance worker quit not long after."

Genesis: "Embarrassed? I? Surely you jest."

Sephy: "I have to deal with too many stalkers as it is."

I go to church too, 'cept we're all Asian (Asian Christians are undoubtedly the most judgemental people EVER) so I doubt I'd find any fellow fangirls. I'm shockingly different at church. That's happened to me, kinda, only not in a church. My friend and I went to go see the live action Death Note movie at the theater and we sat next to this bunch of girls we've met before. Talk sprung out and it turns out they were huge yaoi fantatics, one even had a Kumogoro plushie. Yaoi fangirls just seem to gravitate toward each other, it's an unexplained phenomenon I think.

As for the meme, Genesis...you inspire me. I think I should be horribly terrified by that fact.

:) Yes, Sephy was wearing his perplexed face for at least half the meme, wondering why he was being asked what he considered the same question over and over. Thank Gaia he's pretty patient.

Oh yeah, Cloud is a little perv. As Seph and Zack will attest, he looks innocent but he is not, especially in the bedroom. And Genesis is...well, Genesis. That's why we love him. :)

LOL, you've pegged the Choir pretty perfectly. Though I suspect Angeal's boringness is something of a facade. When he and Zack return from somewhere, they're always laughing like they had a fabulous time. Heh.

That was absolutely awesome! I've got to go find my rolling chair now, because I was laughing so hard when I fell out of it that it flew backwards...somewhere.

I just wanted to say that I love the Choir. They're freakin' great!

And to add on that I love your fics as well. I love how you characterize them so well. I wasn't into Angeal/Zack at all until I read Madness of Angels and I have to say, I'm glad my curiosity got the better of me. I'd started out just reading the Decorum fics on FF.net and I loved them, so I was like...Why not? Lol. Then I *finally* noticed that link to your LJ account, and was like "Holy crap! I have one of those!" So, that lead me to the fics you posted here as well.

And I love the first chapter of the new fic. I hope you don't plan on torturing us for very long on what's going to happen.

Anywho, I just thought I'd stop by and let you know. I lurk a lot, but I don't really post comments often. And I also wanted to know if I could add you as a friend so I can keep up better.

On Madness. . . . .

I hate you so much right now like you wouldn't believe! (I am only joking). So . . . as promised when I was finally DONE with reading Madness I promised to comment. I am doing so on Livejournal as I do not trust fanfiction.net to comprehend the length that this comment/review might need :)
Well, the fist big DUH of the review was that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT and I hate Pixeled for making me read it because I COULDN'T STOP! Not that that's a bad thing!
Onto the constructive part:
Basically, my heart broke for Zack throughout the story. It was a brilliant idea to make Zack write out his story to have someone read it one day and see how much of a hero he was. Just BRILLIANT.
Angeal, also, broke my heart with his internal struggle to be the mentor, lover, person he wanted to be.
Genesis, well, I LOVE Genesis to bits and pieces and was very sad that you had to make him such a bad boy to make the story work, not that his sex appeal was lowered in any way, if anything it only increased it . . . Genesis . . . vampire . . . *runs to take a cold shower* . . . I digress. . . .my apologies
Cloud, ahh, the KING of Emo he's so perfect I want to hug him and squeeze him until his eyes pop out! Well, I really like the idea of Cloud bringing out the "good" in Sephiroth and how the notebook finally got to him, where it was always supposed to be.
Reno, have to love him, and Tseng :)
So, the story that of Zack's life was perfectly written, down to the smallest details, the smells, the temperature if the air, everything. I especially enjoyed the evolution of Zack's and Angeal's relationship and that you also paid special attention to Sephiroth, that he really IS human. You have made Sephiroth exactly the way I pictured him, as a caring, loving, yet cowering individual.
Finally, the JENOVA cells theory. VERY original. I KNEW deep down inside that all this was JENOVA'S fault!!! That bitch! :) No, seriously, it's a good theory and one that followed through and made complete sense until the very end.
So, now that you have shattered my heart into tiny bits and pieces, made me want to cry my eyes out, and made me purr with thrill, and have a need for cold showers; I would like to thank you for writing The Madness of Angels for it touched my heart.
All in all it was brilliantly written, well thought out, simply genius, etc etc etc :)
Yeah so I am not good at constructive criticism but there was simply nothing to be critical about ^_^
