I'm mostly recovered from my recent bout of pseudo-tuberculosis...although last night gave me a bit of a lingering headache. Cloudy was finally caught up on sleep and ready to play when Ryu-chan came over. Yike, the noise those two can make. For those who aren't familiar with Cloudy's BFF, this is him:

And he's as much of an idiot savant as he looks. Take, for example, one of the conversations I've had with him.

Me: "Oh, finally, someone to ask! Ryu-chan?"
Ryu-chan: "Na no da?"
Me: "What is a Nittle Grasper?"
Ryu-chan: *beams* "That's our band! Me and Nori-chan and Tohma!"
Me: "I know, dear. But what does it mean?"
Ryu-chan: "It's what we're called. Right, Kuma-chan?"
Kumagoro: *nods*
Me: "That's another thing, I though 'kuma' means bear."
Sephy-Pants: "It does."
Me: "But this is a rabbit. Rabbit is 'usagi'. Why don't you call him 'Usa-chan' or something?"
Ryu-chan: "Kumagoro na no da!" *swings Kumagoro, knocks Genesis into nearest wall* "Kumagoro Swing!"
Me: "All right, all right. Yike."

Sephy-Pants: "Do you see now why I don't want you opening any more portals?"

No.

Fortunately, yes, I am. Ryu-chan can only come at night, and has to return promptly, because he says K will come looking for him if he's gone too long and I don't want that nutball dropping in and shooting at my Choir. I think Sephy's concern is that if I'm allowed to open the portals, I'll start kidnapping characters and refusing to let them leave. Fair enough...

Asking Ryuichi why his band has a particular English name will get you the same answer as why Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and Korn decided to spell their band name that way: because it's kewl. Don't look for the sense, you won't find any there.

Oh, and this is exactly why the neighbors think I'm running home care on weekends. Ryu-chan's got a bunny plushie and Wiki says he's thirty-one. Add in Cloud's ADHD and Seph's anger management issues and I might as well apply for the group home license on Monday. I plan to name it "St. Anthony's Home for the Occasionally All Right." (RIP George Carlin.)

Oh bugger me running with a pitchfork. Well, I'm pretty much recovered from my cold so Ryu-chan is safe. No worries, Seph, the cleaners are on my speed dial under Biowaste and Hazmat Disposal.

Saaaaay, does Silverstream need a companion? We have a stray gray and white kitty that's been hanging out in the neighborhood the past few months. We call him Ambush Cat because he likes hiding out under our bushes and surprising us when we come home with takeout. Much more practical than a leopard cub or a koi. :D

*carefully pries Cloudy off laptop* Okay, I believe he'll be bringing Silverstream along when he visits you next. Don't worry, he's a very well-behaved cat, and actually obeys Cloud's commands. His only mischievous behavior is a need to bat long hair wherever he finds it. Sephy's patient about that, fortunately.

Oh, Ryu-chan asked Cloud to give this to me to give it to you. *hands through portal* I think it's meant to be a thank-you card for letting him play at your place. (Yike, his hiragana is worse than mine.) And that looks like a picture of he and Cloud doing a duet while someone (you?) deals with complaints from the neighbors. Cute, huh?

Ooh, ixnay on the ittykay. DH is allergic to them and we need a drummer. I'll take your word for the translation--for all I know it says "Americans think this says something profound." And my Japanese is darn near nonexistent. I speak a decent emoticon though.

Zack: "Dude, quit it."
Genesis: "Turning you on, Puppy?" *tries to feed Zack chocolate*
Zack: *knocks GenGen into the wall*

Sephy: "I have no doubt that there are many interesting individuals behind those portals, even a few I'd like to meet. Nonetheless, I am the senior officer here, and I cannot have Amarissia opening all the portals and inviting the havoc that so many colliding worlds would no doubt wreak."
Genesis: "Also, there are so many lovely little ukes, Seph doesn't want to tempt me, I think. He's the Mighty Defender of Helpless Ukes, you know." *laughs*
Me: *continues to stuff couples' counseling brochures under portal doors*

Ryu-chan!! Hi! Actually, I have the rough draft of Ryu-chan and Cloud-babe and the aftereffects of Midgar after there playing....it got destroyed...again...Yeah. :P

But really, why did he name it Kuma-chan? And what the hell do you PUT in it Ryu-chan?!
*shakes Genesis* Oi, GenGen, wake up! You still have to plan your wedding!! And who in the world is wearing the dress? Light, L, or you?! *shakes some more* Gen! *whines*

I'm thinking that Nori and Tohma thought of the name while Ryu-chan was napping, playing with Kuma-chan, or was singing random annoying songs...I pick option two and three.

And Seph, ple~ease open a portal! That's how you found Near, Ryu-chan, L, Light, and stuff! And Yuri-ko, Wolf-chan, and Greta-chan can join!! And maybe a few 'relatives'!

Besides, all anime/manga/game characters have one crazy or emo character. It's just the way of anime/manga/game life! I mean, look at Gen! He spouts stuff from Loveless!
And Cloud! Cloud has that adorable hair that CANNOT be natural but it is! And your hair!! It's like, silk!!
And Vinnie! He's been in a coffin for thirty years because of guilt and to 'atone' for his sins!! *indicates weird people* See!!

I wish I was able to get some actual answers out Ryu-chan. I'm fascinated by him, so I try to ask questions, but he's so oblivious. He either deflects endlessly or attacks someone (usually Genesis) with Kumagoro Beam or Kumagoro Ninja or some other weird move.

Genesis: "Don't jostle me, you'll mess up my hair!" *smoothes it* "I'm thinking an autumn wedding, so that gives us a bit of time to plan."

You still haven't gotten L or Light to agree to this.

Genesis: *ignores me* "Hmm, do you think one of us should wear a dress? I had been thinking of suits, but hmm..."

Actually, we didn't meet our Death Note friends through a fandom portal. They belong to my Guru Scripta..they're sort of her choir. Ryu-chan is the only surprise guest so far. *pout* Sephy thinks I would cause trouble and meddle in the affairs of other worlds, which I would, but he's still such a meanie. Also, I think he finds Gunter unerving. :)

Gen, hun, your hair is NEVER messed up. Just like Seph's hair is never messed up and just like how Angeal will always 'take care' of Zack's needs, it is impossible for your perfect hair to be messed up. Hmm, autumn? That will look pretty, with you and Light as the symbolism of autumn and L will be the symbolism of winter...Pretty. :)

But really, Gen, you need their approval. I don't think they'll like being kidnapped and forced into a suit or dress, since it looks like you're debating now, and then all of a sudden know they're getting married to you in your chaotic schemes.

Huh, ok, so you met DN people through another person...Awesome, the love of Death Note is spreading ^^. But still, you met Ryu-chan, whom Cloud-babe loves very much as a friend, and even if they do cause Midgar to collapse every day or so, it caused Cloud-babe to be happy. So Seph, please open the portals!! The people in the other worlds are meant to be messed around with, it's the whole reason time-travel, AU, and fanfiction was made!

Meanie *pouts* And I still haven't forgiven you for raping Reno. Even if it was hot...And even if you did inspire me with your meaniness to write that Tseng/Reno rape fic....And no asking Reno if he's sore or not, he's in a therapy session. *mutters* Gods, but he really needs to stop going there. He keeps on getting freakish ideas about the most weirdest pranks. He tried to give Rude an afro that was hot pink and glowed in the dark...he keeps on thinking there's an actual materia for that spell. *shakes head in disbelief and amusement*

Whoops, no getting off track. *sigh* Really, how on earth is Gunter unnerving? He's a very er...'DEDICATED' man to Yuri, though he's interested in the boy in more than one way, and sure he has Angeals' voice, huh maybe Gunter WAS some kind of hot mpreg of Seph and Angeal, because Gunter goes for the young ones too, and your looks, but he's awesome!!...Ok, maybe that didn't help very much...Whoops. *looks sheepish*

:) I think he's too nervous to actually ask them. It would mean he'd have to stop party-planning, and he's having too much fun.

Sephy: "I am pleased Cloud has made a new friend, true. But terrible things would happen if I allowed the portals to be opened. You don't know how many people Amarissia would traumatize. She'd end up getting ShinRa into a war with other fandoms."

*pout* I wanna read that Tseng/Reno rapefic! Gimme gimme gimme!

Rude with a hot pink afro...that would be awesome. Then he just needs some bellbottoms and a disco ball...okay, now it's getting scary in my head...

I think the whole reason Sephy dislikes Gunter is that he seems so much like a Sephy/Angeal hybrid. Also, Angeal will sometimes do the voice to make us laugh. :) And since Gunter is obviously a distant cousin, I think Sephy expects him to behave with a bit more decorum and, y'know, stop hitting on the underage monarchs. :)

Ryu-chan and Cloud do fit eerily well. Sephy asked why I don't just open a daycare center for anime characters who don't act their ages, but I think he was attempting sarcasm.

Hee, we did have a Ritsuka over here for a little while, once. Zack kinda adopted him and was trying to play video games with him, though little Ritsuka seemed very confused by all of us and I don't think he was having fun. Then Soubi appeared out of nowhere, scooped him up and left, without even saying hello! I know he doesn't give much attention to women, but sheesh. I hate when my squeeing goes ignored.

LOL, Vinnie, you're so funny, even if you don't mean to be! Over here, we're all Pro-Zack, right? Especially you, Angeal.

The Reno I usually glomp has been grumpy with me since I let Sephy tie him up that one time...or maybe three times. It's kind of a kinky blur at this point.
