Random Updates From Amarissia's Sickbed

Hey, all. *waves weakly* Meant to bounce about and wish you all a Happy Easter/Zombie Jesus Day, but Amarissia has been KO'd by some sort of uber-cold. Apparently, being increasingly social has destroyed my once-infallible immune system. I spent a cheery Saturday helping other members of my church get the place ready for our Easter celebration, then I couldn't even attend. *sniffles* My lovely pastor brought me a big butterfly balloon to cheer me up, though.

So Amarissia is rather useless, until this thing passes. I've been throwing NyQuil and soup at it, futilely. So I'm going to try Kyo Kara Maou, which really should heal all ills. And it makes Amarissia very content.

Zack: "It's kinda like throwing meat to a wild animal."

Hmm. But first, some random updates from Amarissia's world of wacky. Been very obsessed with Mirage of Blaze lately (angst, unrequited love, passion, exorcism, reincarnation, all in one anime!), although Sephy worries that it interferes with the historical drama I've been watching. A lot of character overlap. Real!Naoe finally turned up, but he doesn't seem to be jumping Real!Kagetora's bones. Huh.

Sephy-Pants: "Amarissia has some trouble telling history from fantasy."

In fact, there's been no yaoi-ish bone-jumping at all. Wikipedia promised me man-sex! Damn you, Tenchijin, with your teasing and your hiding Kenshin's crazy hair under a toasty hat! *shakes TV*

Genesis: "Would you kindly cease the noise? I'm trying to pick a border pattern for the invitations."

Right, GenGen thinks he's getting married to my Guru's L and Light. (Gen's philosophy is "The more the merrier, especially if that more is hot and has a school uniform I can be naughty with".) Naturally, he hasn't cleared this with either of the other prospective grooms. He's been on some sort of high since receiving Watari's blessing in the form of a lovely letter, and now he wants to meet Light's parents. That should be...interesting.

Cloud: "Angeal's gonna be the Best Man. Right?"
Angeal: "Yes, little one. But Gen, you're all grooms. So who am I planning a bachelor party for?"
Genesis: "Um. Hmm. Maybe we need separate parties?"

You really want to risk Light and L gettin' it on against a stripper pole and not being able to see it/join in?

Genesis: "ARGH! One party, one party!"

In other Choir news, Zack continues to be in denial and deny it.

Zack: "I'm not in denial! And I'm not denying it! Except I am denying that there's anything to deny! Angeeeeeeal!"

He's so cute when he's protesting too much. Cloud also continues to be cute. (He just left to look at windmills with a pal of ours.) He spend his nights tearing up Midgar (and people's game systems) with his kindred spirit Ryu-chan, formerly of Nittle Grasper. Also, now that the butterflies here have returned, Cloud enjoys chasing them in the backyard, with Angeal on his heels making sure he doesn't trample any flowers. The rest of Angeal's time is devoted to spoiling Zack and trying to keep Genesis out of trouble.

Sephy is occupied, currently, with his playthings (meaning Zack and Cloud), his little adopted brother (Death Note's Near, courtesy of my Guru Scripta), and quashing me and Gen's efforts to unlock the unexplored fandom portals in the Portal Room. All I've been able to do is stuff fliers offering couples' counseling under the ones for Yami No Matsuei, Gravitation, Mirage of Blaze and Kyo Kara Crack...I mean Maou. Now not only does Sephy keep these portals locked, he lectured me about not taking the concerns of anime characters seriously. I take them very seriously! And I'm not the one who let Near have access to ShinRa's top-secret, uber-dangerous missile defense system.

Sephy-Pants: "I didn't do so purposely. Anyway, no harm was done. He was just curious."

Yeah, you know thirteen-year-olds, they just love missiles. Maybe it's the shape.

Sephy-Pants: "Ew."

In fic news, up to chapter 17 of the new Zangeal, which means I can start posting soon, if I feel confident! Alas, the part of my brain which spawns Decorums has shut down and requires a jolt. I'll need a large basin, an oxygen mask, water and some electric unagi. Don't worry, I've seen this done by Kenneth Branagh.

Zack: "Umm..."

Or maybe I can get someone to draw me some inspirational Choir art. Anyone game? If so, don't forget to include Cloud's kitty...

Random info: Did you ever play the Organ Trail as a kid? My sisters and I were obsessed with it and always gave the characters names from whatever we were obsessing over at the time, i.e. FF7, Zelda, Harry Potter, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc. Well, one of my favorite characters at the time was Sonya from Sonic Underground and whenever a character got sick, I would have Sonya make them Sonya's Special Soup, which I swear ALWAYS worked to fix everything, from a cold to a snake bite to a broken leg. A bachelor party planned by Angeal always runs the risk of being nothing but a gardening party. But I think, for Genesis's sake, Angeal will make it as filthy and raunchy as GenGen would want. Which kinda creeps both me and Zack out. :)

Wow, I never thought I actually would meet someone who didn't know the Organ Trail. Maybe you're older than I though you were? Or younger? Ah well, not important.

Anyway, Gen will love it, I'm sure. If I say make sure he gets lots of picture to torture Zack with, does that make me evil? I swear I love you, Zack!

Oh, and I'm sure Sai or someone else has told you already, so I'm going to congratulate you on three of your fics making the shortlists at the Genesis Awards (if you're not a member or have no idea what I'm talking about, check Sai's LJ for information and link). Aww, get well soon! I'll send Cloudy back over as soon as I've taken pictures with him of windmills. Right now the weather is uncharacteristically sunny for Holland in April, so it shouldn't be too long.

I hope Cloudy is having fun. I got a rather cryptic postcard through the portal that said, in Cloud's handwriting, "Windmills are awesome!" Okay, maybe not so cryptic. I can hear him giggling from here. :)

Thank you. The Choir is behaving all right, I guess. Although Sephy finds sickness puzzling and keeps staring at me like a zoo animal, and Genesis only pauses his flurry of movement to occasionally hand me a tissue, whether I need one or not. At least Angeal's been comforting.

Angeal: "It's okay, Puppy, come here." *hugs Zack, winks over his shoulder*

Oh, he's having fun alright. He's a bit impatient to see the windmills, but I told him the weather needs to be good and I need to have some time. Don't worry, my dog keeps him company.

Ah a dog. That would explain the other postcard we got, which simply asked if dogs would get along with Silverstream, his kitten. Uh, make sure Cloudy doesn't try to bring your dog with him when he returns. He wouldn't steal him intentionally, Cloudy just tends to forget about personal property when he's having fun.

I'm trying to distract him with innocent manga like Fruits Basket (or maybe even something historical like Cantarella) but it seems he's fascinated with it XD Well, he's no virgin, so I guess it's not that bad. Who knows, maybe he'll even learn something from it ;D That should cheer you up, Zack (And yes, yes you are Man's Best Friend XD In which case Cloud really did get his hands on it XD)

I think it's not so much the question whether my dog would get along with Silverstream than it is whether or not Silverstream would get along with my dog. Nandor pretty much loves everything. Especially fluffy things.

I'm not surprised Cloud's going for the porn, he really is not nearly as innocent as he looks. Not if the noises I hear at night are any indication... :)

Is it going to be a June wedding, Genesis? I already have the last week of June blocked out for vacation so you need to send out a save-the-date ASAP if that's the case. And a registry notice.

Thank God Rock Band has separate difficulty settings for each band member. That way Ryu-chan can 100% everything on Expert while the rest of us plod along behind him. All my equipment is still in one piece, believe it or not. However, the neighbors think I'm running a daycare for special-needs anime characters and I had to convince them that I'm doing it out of stupidity and not for profit. :D

Since I'm starting to feel kind of yucky myself, I'll have to take a rain check on our next concert, and maybe yoink the hot and sour soup if you're not too fond of it. I take it none of the Choir ever gets sick? Or if they do, I doubt you could get them within 40 miles of a doctor.

I vote for an autumn wedding--fits my schedule better and it's very picturesque. The next problem Genesis has to solve is how to get L into a tuxedo. We want pics!

My arts skills aren't really that good, but I'm decent...I suppose....Now how to find a way to get my copier to work. *stares clueless at the copier*...Let's hope I won't blow something.

I would suggest lots of vitamins and juice but I just take really long naps to recharge me. And a nice long bath. And if your throat is sore than try a lemon, honey, green tea. Get a green tea bag or tea leaves, half a lemon, and the amount of honey you want. Boil water as well, or put a tea cup filled with water in the microwave. Put the tea bag/leaves, squeeze the lemon, and add a lot of honey. I usually add in 4 to 5 teaspoons but that's because I'm crazy...Hope that works. If you have a blocked nose they say drinking hot salt water or breathing it in by the nose and then blowing it out helps...Gross to the extreme but it works...O.o

So WHEN is the wedding Gen? ...And I can't imagine Ang' or Seph planning bachelor parties...It defies my there-is-no-such-thing-as-logic. I mean Angeal?! Seph?! And if Cloud-babe planned the bachelor party there would be flowers, butterflies, and lots of sparkly stuff...And lots of sweets with L clinging unto Cloud-babe while Light and Gen are torn between jealously and going 'aaaaw!!'....Maybe Zack should plan it...Huh... *puzzled*

True, Angeal is not in his element planning a bachelor party. I can't wait to see stoic, polite Commander Stuffy try to book strippers, for one thing. But out of friendship, he'll do his very best. 'Cause if we left it up to Zack, he'd fill up a club full of things GenGen hates (like boobies) and then lock him in there. Not the best way to unwind before a wedding.

And Gen hasn't set a date yet, he's too busy having fun looking at swatches and designing humiliating uniforms for the serving staff. I still think he should clear this with L and Light, but that's just me...
