I wanted to express my thoughts and feelings about all this Prop 8 crap coming to a head in the Supreme Court. About how in this day and age it shouldn't be an issue, about how no one has been able to tell me exactly who gay marriage is threatening to and why, about how exactly punishing people who love each other could possibly be something God wants. But I still say Keith Olberman says it better than I can.

OMG! How can anyone be threatened by gay marriage?! Keith Olberman, I say amen to what you said...

I really don't understand anyone who makes an issue out of gay marriage being legal. Like I told some guy on YouTube; when someone who is gay gets married, do you suddenly feel a terrible strike of agony? Um, I think not. These things might interest you:

Olbermann deserves a Nobel Prize for this.

The quote by Omar Khayyam is pretty enough, but ironic considering Khayyam's religion condemns homosexuality, and his descendants currently punish it with the death penalty.

That decision sucks big time. Their arguments are old. Seriously.

Gay people will raise gay children.
Not necessarily. Straight people have gay children too.

Gay people will not produce babies.
Because our orphanages aren't full enough.

This goes against the sanctity of marriage.
And because those drive by chapels are considered to be sanctified? A lot of straight people divorce, but you don't hear others going on about how terrible it is.

Gay people will force their ways on others.
No. Flat out lie. It's like the stereotype of Bible thumpers. Not every Christian will force their religion on others. They just want the same rights as any human.

I can't think of anything more. These arguments are old.
