Hey, all. Blech, we're having a bit of a heat wave here and, even with the AC on, it's hard for Amarissia to think. Also, I'm grumpy because I was on a writing roll last night and had to stop when I couldn't keep my eyes open. Gah, why do I always get most inspired just before I get sleepy? Dane Cook's new special kept me awake for awhile, though. That guy is a raging nutjob. :)

In the interest of coolness and the fact that my perpetually-long hair has been driving me crazy, I decided to hack off ten inches and donate it to Locks of Love, a great organisation that makes wigs for cancer patients. But weirdo that I am, I insisted on taking a picture of my lost hair before I sent it off. Don't tell the Choir I was using a camera, I'm not allowed.

I think my head is actually a pound or two lighter, and hair maintenance is such a breeze now, it's awesome. My hair is still what other people consider long, but it feels weird to not have it all the way down to my butt... :)

The Choir and I are working on finishing Ouran, which continues to be hilarious, and then we should probably finish Code Geass, but after that I think I can get back to my list of recs. That one Sai mentioned sounded good. Kuroshitsuji? Kuro...something? This is like trying to pronounce the names in Tenchijin. First comes the 'k' sound, then stuttering while the Choir stares at me.

Sephy: "You can pronounce them fine, you only mess up because you find it amusing and it gives you an excuse to hand out ridiculous nicknames."

I don't know if any of you watch the historical Japanese drama Tenchijin or if it's even available outside of Japan and the Bay Area, but it's mesmerizing. Originally I started watching for the language exposure and a thought to get over my phobia of samurai, but now I really like it for its characters and story. (And that it's helping me understand Mirage of Blaze.) I really hope they let Pseudo-Angeal -

Sephy: "She means Kagekatsu."

- do something soon. He must be going stir-crazy letting Pseudo-Zack -

Angeal: "She means Kanetsugu."

- have all the adventure. And poor Kagetora, with his pretty pretty hair. He has no idea that after his current mess, he's gonna be reincarnated as a grumpy high school student forced to exorcise spirits and get pawed by sexy Naoe. Tenchijin!Naoe is not sexy, and there has still been no man-sex. *shakes TV* There is supposed to be man-sex! And I miss Kenshin. *sniffle* Now I only get to see his krazy hair in flashbacks.

Er, anyway...I updated? *pats Super Cannon of Zack-Related Angst* Ooh, haven't gotten to use you much since 'Madness'.

Speaking of 'Madness', you'll never believe it! My friend and reader [livejournal.com profile] aishiyurii has begun recording herself reading The Madness of Angels and is making it available to all of you and your goldfish! (Or any other pets you have that might like yaoi.) You can find her site for the project here, but she's currently having a bit of trouble uploading full chapters, so if you want to hear Chapter 1, you can download it here.

And now the glamorous Choir conductor must turn her attention to laundry...oooh, I love dryer sheets...

Sephy: *shakes head, sighs*
