I don't recall who, specifically, recommended Ouran High School Host Club to me, but whoever did, thank you. (I'm sure it was more than one of you.) The Choir and I viewed about the first half this weekend and had a great time laughing at the pure nuttiness of it. And, shockingly, Amarissia actually likes a female character! Bizarre.

Zack didn't enjoy it as much as the rest of us, alas. We came across another pair of Incest Twins and his voice was used for one of them, which prompted some of his usual protests. We also recently started watching an anime called Tactics, in which Cloud's voice is used for a rather un-Cloud-like character. On the DVD I rented, there was a bonus feature, an interview with two of the seiyuu, so I was able to point out Takahiro Sakurai to Cloud, who giggled "That's not me!"

(As it turns out, the guy doesn't like whipped cream. Okay, that's me and about four other people so far. Don't be afraid, comrades! Speak out against the frothy terror! Let our voices be heard!)

Now we're giving Saint Beast a try. Not bad so far...familiar voices, nice-looking animation, pretty characters. Now I just need my most important requirement - a character that I would greatly like to adopt. Some of us are watching Saint Beast, I should say. Zack was up late keeping an eye on Cloud and Ryuichi, making sure they didn't destroy Midgar or anything, so he's -

Zack: *passed out, curled up on Angeal's lap*

Hope you all had a nice executed-Roman-saint day. I mean, Valentine's Day. (And, in white_jenna's case, a nice birthday.) Over here, everyone is recovering from candy-induced sugar rushes (except me, I'm determined to keep it going), and there's a big mess of petals and crates left behind by the metric shitload of roses and chocolates that GenGen was shoving through a portal to his dear L.

All in all, a very normal day.

*sound of several buildings collapsing in Sector 2 in background*

Also, totally titled the new multi-chapter! I'm calling it Not Wrath of Gods, which gives away absolutely nothing. Genesis suggested The Puppy-Gets-Sexed-In-His-Sleep Story, but that just gives too much away.

Ouran is possibly mankind's greatest creation. Wait until you get to the end. It actually develops a plot (sort of) :O And packs more sap into 5 minutes than should be humanly possible. 'Tis excellent. *grows mushrooms like Tamaki*

As for the fic title (or rather, Gen's version of)...*blink* I feel I should be more surprised :P I think you've desensitized us :P We're doomed :P Actual title sounds awesome, though ;D
Monday, February 16th, 2009 08:04 pm (UTC)
I've been meaning to get into Ouran for ages~
Monday, February 16th, 2009 08:07 pm (UTC)
So you resommend Ouran High School Host Club?? Because I'm outta stuff to see (I'm keeping the last chapters of KKM for when I am seriously deprived... or when I go back to Spain to visit my family: I'll need the crack...)

Sorry, I like whipped cream, though it depends on the type...

Yay multichapter!!!
Monday, February 16th, 2009 08:34 pm (UTC)
Jeez, Genesis, spoiler much? Not that we don't expect that sort of thing but keep the mystery alive next time.

Seriously, whipped cream? Fluffy stuff, goes on hot chocolate? It's not that scary, I can take it or leave it. Now, clotted cream is the really scary looking stuff. Ask L about it some time when he's not hiding from Genesis.
Monday, February 16th, 2009 08:35 pm (UTC)
Ouran! I Heart so much! I hadn't laughed that hard at anime in a long time. I even had the ending theme as my ringtone for the past two years and I rarely do anything that outwardly fangirly.

Relax, Zacky, the more I watched the more I was sure the twins were just hamming up the act for their fans. And the fight episode, OMG, best ep evah!! XDD *spazz*

I've got Saint Beast around somewhere and I keep figuring I might give Loveless a try, although it doesn't sound like something I'd really go for right now. But I did finally finish Getbackers today.

*ponders puppy getting sexed in his sleep* Heheheh, yeah... ^_~
Monday, February 16th, 2009 10:21 pm (UTC)
MULTI-CHAPTER FIC?! AND with sleep-molested puppy?! Well, I can't wait to see it!
Monday, February 16th, 2009 11:02 pm (UTC)
Yay, I'm so glad you liked Ouran! ^_^ I've no idea if I was the first person to recommend it but it was one on my big long ramble of a list some time ago. Haruhi really is a likable character and since she's so tomboyish OHSHC is about as close to a yaoi harem story you can get without it being... a yaoi harem story. -_-

Watched most of YnM at your recommendation *tears* I want to save the rest for when I'm being less sympathetic to the uke character, I don't know if I can take anymore thinly veiled rape of a minor in my current state of wibbles. (Why, oh WHY did I watch Last Order?! ;_;) Other than that the story-line is lovely, the characters beautiful and likeable and the villian sadistic enough to be a nice counter balance. *Puuur*

*Ears perk at prospect of puppy molestation*
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 12:00 am (UTC)
What is Ouran High about, anyway? I've heard people squee and obsess over it, but I never got a straight answer.

They're destroying Midgar? Little Cloudy? Or am I mistaking him with someone else?

There are people in the world who don't like whipped cream? I didn't think it was possible......

And yay Puppy molestation! Sorry, Zack, but you're way too pretty to be left untouched.
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 03:54 pm (UTC)
Ugh, whipped cream. Or any kind of cream, actually. Except sour cream, that tastes good in sauces. As does creme fraiche...

Ahem.

Can't wait for the next multi-chapter. I think Gen-Gen's title works better as a summary.

As far as anime goes, I promised myself I was going to rewatch all of Hellsing before I got obsessed with anything new. Sadly no yaoi content, but much kickassness, and a main character who is a Vincent clone but with a Sephy/Gen personality (no moping or whinging). And great music. You have definitely inspired me to watch YnM; the big question is whether I watch it or Death Note first...
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 08:29 pm (UTC)
You don't like whipped cream? B-b-b-b-but... Think of all the possible kinky plot-bunnies! D:

Hmmm... If you don't mind some horror, I could recommend Elfen Lied. It's pretty gruesome. Okay, very gruesome.
And for your daily dose of yaoi goodness I'd say watch Ai no Kusabi. It's one of my favourites. And one of my first yaoi anime, so I'm kind of nostalgic about it ^^;

Oh, and happy late Valentine's Day! I hope the Choir didn't cause you too much (sugar-induced) trouble XD
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 08:31 pm (UTC)
Why did I oversee this? D:

I like the title for your new multi-chapter. I admit, Gen's title does have a nice ring to it, but it's not subtle at all xD
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 06:52 am (UTC)
DX That's just the problem! Telling you about totally RUINS the first episode, and it's kinds of what endears the characters to you.
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 07:02 am (UTC)
Long time fan of your works, rare commenter (have I commented on your LJ before? Gads, I need to break that habit...)

I have another anime recommendation. Sometime when you're in the mood for 'good, if quite disturbing', check out SpeedGrapher. Exploration of phobias and Freud-esque psychology abound!

And for something a bit less disturbing but just as refreshing from the main track, Samurai Champloo. Don't worry, there's a distinct lacking of pairings in here, the creator tends to do a pretty good job of not making those the main focus of his stories. And if you like this series, check out Cowboy Bebop.
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 07:53 pm (UTC)
LOL! I love your current location and music! Kunsel must be soooo busy these days. Especially after Gengen´s crazy ideas...

Are the Choir behaving themselves? ;o)

Me and my friend just watched this series with very short episodes, Sayuki Patalliro; if you ignore that insane monkey, the rest is quite fun and there are nice bishies - and they get together and plot and travel...blah blah, and those catfights in latter episodes are hilarious.
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 09:55 pm (UTC)
Ooh, thank you. *makes note in anime rec list*

Depnds on how you define 'behaving themsevles'. I gave them most of the day off while I'm running (hours of) maintenance on uncooperative Mr. Laptop. Other than the occasional shrieks and crashes I hear from the Closet, I'm assuming they're okay. :) Sephy was a little pissy last night, but that's 'cause I was writing and making him all emo, with Lazard, no less...
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 09:58 pm (UTC)
Hello, and thank you! I think this is the first time we've talked, but my memory is unreliable, so who knows...

Oh, my guru loves Cowboy Bebop. Alas, I couldn't get into it, but I'll keep the others in mind!
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 09:59 pm (UTC)
Hee, thanks.
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 10:02 pm (UTC)
Hmm, gruesome how?

Zack: "Like it matters." *scoffs*

When did you get back?

Zack: "I won't be here long. I'm just hiding from Kunsel and his damn camera. He caught me hugging Angeal - just hugging, I swear! - and he said he's gonna set it to porno music, the bastard - "

Hee. Oh, Ai No Kusabi, I saw that one. Pretty good, though I didn't like the style of animation. And yes, whipped cream is good for smut, but ew, not for eating. :)
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 10:09 pm (UTC)
Yay, one for the march! "Down with whipped cream!" And cream soda, while we're at it. Yuck.

May I suggest YnM first? Less complicated storyline and much shorter.
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 10:18 pm (UTC)
Ouran is about a girl who's mistaken for a boy and made to join a club full of boys who...hmm, how do I explain this...they entertain young ladies who attend the same elite school. Like whores, but without the sex, to Genesis's disappointment. It's really funny.

Heh. Little Cloudy, yes. Choir!Cloud is only sixteen and not the brightest bulb, but somehow he's still mako-enhanced and strong enough to slice a motorcycle in half with a sword. And his friend Ryuichi...well, I haven't figured him out yet, but he does seem fairly invincible. I just wish he'd stop asking me why I don't have guns.

*pout* Yes! We're here, we're...near? Get used to it? Give me some time to work out a chant...

That's what I keep telling Zack, but he still grumbles at me, and probably severely bashes me to his therapist. Angeal goes with him to appointments, but he won't tell me what Zack says.
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 10:25 pm (UTC)
Well, for recc'ing it at all, thank you!

YnM is heartbreaking, isn't it? Makes you just want to wrap the characters in blankets and cuddle them, huh? Especially Hisoka, poor thing. Sephy would adopt him in a second, though he wouldn't admit that aloud...

Well, I'm glad you guys are happy. Zack's really unhappy with me. The one good thing about that is that he clings to Angeal when he's unhappy. Hee. :)
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 10:44 pm (UTC)
Oh, sigh. *melts into goo* I so love Loveless. It alternately cushions and pummels your heart which, oddly, I adore.

*plasters walls with pictures of Soubi, with his hair up, which makes him look so awesome*
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 10:46 pm (UTC)
Clotted cream sounds creepy. Medical, even. *shudders*

Sigh, I know. Gen says there's still the surprise of why Zack's getting sleep-molested and who it is and blah blah. *eyeroll* This story is actually getting out of hand. I had notes for three different stories and they're all getting dragged into this one...
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 10:50 pm (UTC)
Yes, I recommend! You'll laugh your butt off. :)

I wish I had gone a bit slower with Kyo Kara Krack. Now I'm watching it over from the beginning while I wait for someone to sub number 113. *chews nails anxiously*
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 10:52 pm (UTC)
If I've desensitized you, I may have to bring out the big guns. Hmm, this one? *shows story note to Angeal*

Angeal: *goes pale, covers his mouth*

Hee hee hee. I shouldn't like shocking people this much.

Thank you! Let's hope the story turns out well. *fingers crossed, which will make writing...difficult*
Thursday, February 19th, 2009 03:31 am (UTC)
Hmm... I'd still recommend checking out Samurai, its a very interesting story.
Friday, February 20th, 2009 01:09 pm (UTC)
Lots of blood and gore, dismembered fingers, arms, heads, etc. Also, some very uncomfortable situations, like a couple of grade school kids beating a puppy to death.

...Okay, why did I like this anime again? Oh, right, plot. I think (read: hope).

Kunsel is pro'lly just jealous of Angeal. Maybe you should hug him, Zack. It'll also be an opportunity to snatch his camera away. It's a win/win situation!
Friday, February 20th, 2009 10:27 pm (UTC)
Okay, I'll have to skip that one. I don't mind humans getting hurt, but if it's animals, I become depressed and useless for days. Like, can't-move useless.

Zack: "It's no use. I tried to snatch his camera during a hug once, and it turned out he had someone else catching us with a spare camera. He got his whole hand down my pants before I managed to throw him off me."

Lucky Kunsel...
Saturday, February 21st, 2009 02:41 pm (UTC)
Same here. I did find it a fascinating anime, but after that episode I refrained from watching the next few episodes for a while. I still think they should've left that part out.

Lucky Kunsel indeed. I'm surprised your sugardaddies Angeal and Sephiroth didn't, um, transfer him. Or drop him from a twenty-story window, if we follow Angeal's strategy.
Monday, February 23rd, 2009 06:58 pm (UTC)
Apparently, Kunsel caught Angeal in a good mood and was let off with a warning.

Zack: "The warning being 'Next time I see you I will remove your spine.' But mostly Angeal just glares at him, which is scary enough, I guess. I don't think Angeal's very scary, but he sure freaks other people out."

Seph and Angeal would definitely get rid of Kunsel if they could, but I like him, so I keep him around. :)
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 02:20 am (UTC)
Have you had a good day today dear writer Amarissia?

Hello, nice to see, or type to-ed, again! And I only have one word:
SQUEEEEEE!!! PUPPY IS GETTING MOLESTED! IN HIS SLEEP! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Reno:...See what I have to go through, yo?!

Me: Oh hush Red *Ties up Reno, gags him, drags a blinking Tseng and hand him lube* Tsengy love, since I'm too busy typing a comment could you do the lemon scene in that new fanfiction I had briefed over last time? Reno's getting fidgety, you know the drill.

Tseng: *blinks cutely* Al...right

Reno: Mmph! Mmmn, Mmph!! -translation: Tseng don't do it, she was laughing, you know what it means when she laughs!-

Me: Do ignore him Tseng love, he's just impatient. Not going over a fanfiction idea that was briefed over a month ago makes him all agitate-y.

Tseng: Ah *stares at me and scrutinizes me* Are you sure you're not making anything...up are you?

Me: *Gasp* Tseng love, you don't trust me?! Besides you get to ravish a gagged and tied up Reno if you let this go *points to a blushing Reno*

Tseng: Alright.

Reno: Mmmph, mmph, mmgh!! (translation: You gotta be fucking kidding me, yo! Damn perverted bastard!)

Me: Thanks Tseng love! Reno do 'behave' for Tseng m'kay? *waves bye as a squirming Reno is man-handled by a smirking Tseng* Now that Red and Tseng love are gone, back to business!

THANK YOU!! New multi-chapter with a sleeping puppy Zack *sighs happily*
-*Coos at Zack because he's sleeping currently-*
Oh isn't he adorable when he sleeps!

*Looks at Cloud and Ryuichi* Spikey, Ryu-chan remember not to destroy Midgar, blow up a section of it like Red did, no making things sparkly or happy *looks at a sheepish Ryuichi pointingly*, ABSOLUTELY NOT making Midgar or the plates your playground and summoning monsters *glares at Kadaj who is currently getting his hair done in the Lifestream Hair Salon: The Impossible is Always Possible in the Lifestream!*, and most important of all! Do not wake up Zack ok?

Cloud and Ryuichi: *salutes* Yes Ma'am!

Me: And Kunsel, for the love of ShinRa, Gaia, and Spikey's underwear *Cloud blushes and eeps* *Seph, Zack, Angeal, and Genesis glares at me* stop filming Zack. And does not mean that you should take pictures of him either! Nor are you allowed to grope him! And I'm sorry to say but I rather like whip-cream, but thing I hate looking at the most has to be cottage cheese, gross. *shudders* It looks like some kind of torture machine created by Hojo himself!

Goodbye!
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 02:40 am (UTC)
Can you tell me where I can find it? It sounds interesting, like crack, actually. Why is there no sex? I think I'm on Gen's side with that one.

Is Little Cloudy not as sweet as I think he is? I guess everyone has a dark side... Ryuichi? Is this a specific Ryuichi? The one from Gravitation, perhaps? That's where my mind jumps when I hear the name.

Hm, You're here, You're feared? Get used to it? If you don't like whipped cream, I'M afraid, at least. But then, I'm practically addicted to the stuff, so maybe I"m not the best reference.

Ah, the 'nothing leaves this room' law? Tsk tsk, Zack. You should be honest with Amarissia! She only wants what (she thinks) is best for you!
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 04:39 pm (UTC)
Finally, someone else who likes Kunsel! I thought I was the only one... But then again, I also thought I was the only one who genuinely liked Angeal. Friends of mine who've played CC never seem to really like him. The most I can get out of them would be 'oh, yeah, he was pretty cool'.

Btw, to come back on an earlier discussed topic between us, the closest thing I've come to a nickname for Angeal would 'Commander Studmuffin'. But, again, nobody seems to agree. And it's not exactly cute either. Time for some more musing...
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 07:25 pm (UTC)
hate canned whipped creme. ugh. nasty.

.... the stuff from the carton is good, just not whipped. MMmmmmm... creme. XD
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 07:09 pm (UTC)
Angeal: *laughs, shakes his head*

I like 'Commander Studmuffin'! It's authoritative, but at the same time, it gives props to his tough-guy brand of hotness. What do you think, Zack?

Zack: *glares, snuggles closer to Angeal*

You're not fooling anyone, baby.
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 07:15 pm (UTC)
Hmm, where to find Ouran. I've been renting it from Netflix, but whenever I want to find an anime online, I Google it, or try animecrunch.com, or YouTube.

If Choir!Cloud has a dark side, I haven't seen it. He instantly represses anything unpleasant, so he has no need to be emo. I mean, he knows everything that's happened in canon, all the Choir members do, but it's as if nothing affected him. And yes, his friend Ryuichi is the one from Gravitation. Very strange guy. But he and Cloud are on similar levels of thought, so they have a lot of fun.

*loads up on anti-whipped cream protective charms, huddles under protective blankie*

I do only want what's best for Zack. Now that he's accepted that he and Angeal were once butt-buddies, I think the best way to jog his memory would be to get back on the horse, so to speak. Genesis says Angeal's hung like a horse, anyway, and he's fairly reliable about that sort of thing.

Zack: "Ha! All she wants is inspiration for her creepy stories!"

That too.
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 07:22 pm (UTC)
Me: "Yay, Reno-molestation!"
Sephy: "Ugh, Tseng-sex."
Zack: "I'm pretty sure that's harassment, Reno. You should report it or something. And if you do, tell me how to do the same. I have lots of complaints about Amarissia's new story."
Me: "Is this about the sleep-molestation thing?"
Zack: "And the fact that you can't seem to do a multi-chapter without some sort of murder-mystery. Give it a rest already."
Cloud: *looks up with big, solemn eyes* "Me and Ryu-chan didn't wake Zack up, promise! We were playing in Midgar. Um, we didn't mean to make the building go boom. I was showing him my Omnislash and the building got in the way. Oops."
Sephy: *pats Cloud's head* "Just try to be less destructive next time, hmm?"
Cloud: "Okay! Maybe we'll go visit Aerith."
Sephy: *scowls*
Zack: "For the record, I agree about cottage cheese. Looks like something a mako-intolerant person would puke up."
Me: "Hey, I like cottage cheese!"
Thursday, February 26th, 2009 06:06 am (UTC)
I try not to trust youtube, every time I find something, they claim copyright and take it off :P But I'll try those others, thanks.

I can definitely see Cloudy and Ryuichi getting along (and destroying Midgar). I love Ryuichi! Is he yours or is he visiting? Either way, huggles him for me?????

*grabs huge tub of whipped cream while smirking evilly*

Nah, I'm not that mean...or am I? ;)

Ahh, I'm so proud of you, Zack! Acceptance is the first step to recovery. The next is getting your brains screwed out by your loving mentor ^_^
Thursday, February 26th, 2009 02:55 pm (UTC)
Maybe Zack liked "Quickie King" better. Probably because he came up with that one himself (It was... A Matter of Association, right?)

Oh man... I'll never be able to look at a muffin the same way again. Well, maybe it's not so bad. :]

You make me wanna have a Choir of my own. I'm gonna replay all my games to see which characters are best xD
Friday, February 27th, 2009 05:53 pm (UTC)
Hee, yes, "A Matter of Association". I'm impressed when people can remember my story titles, because I sometimes have trouble with that...

Mmm, Angeal-shaped muffins... *drool*

Choirs are so fun! But be prepared to hear complaining all hours of the day and night. And explosions. And buildings falling down...
Friday, February 27th, 2009 06:00 pm (UTC)
Zack: "Eeeeep."

Don't worry, baby, no one's gonna rush you. Of course, if I were Angeal, I wouldn't be so patient.

Angeal: "Good thing you're not me, then."

Hee, Ryu-chan is not exactly mine, no. Genesis accidentally opened the Gravitation portal in the Closet (where the portal to Midgar is, and other portals that lead everywhere they go. There's one for each fandom I collect.) and Ryu just bounced through. I will huggle him for you, sure. He says hugs are nice as long as there aren't too many at once - I think he's referring to crowds of adoring fans. I also had to promise not to take Kumagoro from him, like I'd ever steal his precious bunny!

*prepares to counter whipped cream with a shield of shortcake*
Sunday, March 1st, 2009 04:15 pm (UTC)
I just re-read it recently, so that's pro'lly why I remembered. I'm not very good with titles normally xD

Oh my. I'll have to find some less destructive characters then. It's such a pity that the characters I like most are usually dead. But then again, who really cares? XD
Tuesday, March 10th, 2009 07:02 pm (UTC)
Eh, it's been a while since I've been here hasn't it? I'm so glad you're getting into (or perhaps finished with at this point) Host Club...I was probably one of many who recommended it, I remember discussing it, but I highly doubt I was the only one.

I'm sure L enjoyed the chocolates if not the roses...
Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 04:51 pm (UTC)
Thank you, then! I'm still only about halfway through...I keep getting sidetracked with rewatching Kyo Kara Maou and Mirage of Blaze... :)

Yes, L enjoyed the chocolates, though everyone over there had to plead with Gen to stop at one point, because all the stuff he was sending through was making a huge mess and crowding up the place. :)
Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 05:11 pm (UTC)
Where does Genesis even GET so much chocolate and so many roses?

...not that I'm doubting his abilities...
Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 07:32 pm (UTC)
Let's just say Gaia is still experiencing a drought in the rose-and-chocolate-supply business. He bought out almost the whole planet. :)
