By which I mean, AGH, my whole county had massive power failure brownout while I was, of all places, the mall. Yeah. Suddenly it was like being in a bad zombie movie. I got home, spent some time weeping and shaking because I do not do the unexpected well, but it's back on, THANK GOD. I love you, electricity.

Of course, it happened when I had JUST found a shirt I liked in Lane Bryant, which never happens. Now I just have to hope it'll still be there...hopefully tomorrow. We'll see.

Now I'm off to meditate and write, wish me luck!

Oh NO!!! Uuuurrgh, I hate power blows, I always feel like the world is coming to an end....fortunately that's never happened, but still...Scary! I have weird circuitry in my garage which is where my PS3 is, and I had JUST FINISHED that epic three or four week boss battle (took me 20 minutes) and I knew there was an awesome cutscene coming up, but alas, I had not saved, and the power goes "FUCK YOU!" and completely died.............I was catatonic for a full hour. Still haven't gotten around to beating it again.

Ooooh, Lane Bryant is by faaaar my favorite store in the history of the universe. It's the only place I can find clothes for someone with curves like me. ;) I kind of want to see this shirt.....very much. XDD I need to go clothes shopping, or at least have my mom do it for me. I'm reaching the point where I cannot wear sweats and yoga pants to school anymore, despite the fact that they're sooooo comfy.

Om mani padme hum. Good luck, chica!!!!!

Oh good, it's not just me that goes all AGH-I-CAN'T-DO-THIS when the power is out...

I NEVER find anything I like in Lane Bryant, 'cause I like empire waistlines and flowy shirts and nope, everything's all clingy. Which is why this is epic. I MUST HAVE THAT SHIRT. I'll see if little sis is up for another try at malling...

OMG I don't shop there either any more for just those reasons. Frankly even my own mother thinks I look better in a men's t-shirt from Target than a Land Bryant shirt. LOL

I hate it when the power goes out.

Hm... Sudden power failure is indeed a sort of annoying event, though, usually I'm ok with that. I haven't been in a situation then a power failure happened when I'm in a crowded place, but I'm generally have no tendency to fear the worst, so I think I would be more or less ok in such situation.

Actually, this reminded me that there was a scheduled complete outages a couple days ago. Thing is that it happened at midnight (I assume that this time was chosen to less the effect on local malls and other establishments), and I've never seen my district to be SO DARK. It so unusual, I sawsuch darkness only well out in the country. :)

There is unexpected and then there is UNEXPECTED. Strangely enough the lesser of the two is the one that gets to me more. Huge unexpected things - like getting caught in an epic thunderstorm with a tornado in it somewhere and 6 inches of rain in 20 minutes while driving with the kids in the car - seem to flip a switch inside and the Survivor thing happens. But little disasters just throw my whole day into the crapbag and I fall apart. o0

I know what you mean. Thank gods for that Survivor-switch thing, it's gotten me through lots of anxious situations...

The only thing worse than a power outage at home is a power outage at work. My office is windowless and in the basement, so those three seconds before the emergency lighting kicks in are really pitch friggin' black. The backups only run the lights, so no web surfing. All we can do is read old copies of Cosmo until the power comes back or they send us home for the day.

Lol, I appear to be the black sheep here. I LOVE when the power goes out.
